9/28/22: Seniors and Juniors graduating in May met with the Balfour representative today and received CAP & GOWN ORDER FORMS as well as a packet of other items available for purchase. Mr. Greg will return next Wed., October 5 to pick up orders. Seniors also started the FAFSA process today when they met with the counselor Kim Austin and created Federal Student Aid IDs. FAFSA opens on October 1. Anyone planning to go to Community College, University, or Trade School must fill out a FAFSA.

9/29/22: Mrs. Polly's Spanish I and II students created artwork to display around the high school campus celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month. Each group worked together to bring awareness to the positive influences and contributions of Hispanic Americans as they have enriched our country. Hispanic Heritage Month is recognized each year, Sept. 15-October 15.

9/28/22: Makaela Salmon, recruiter for the Mississippi State University School of Education, visited and spoke to Mr. Dixon's and Mr. Tipler's College and Career Readiness students and Mrs. Bramlett's  PHS Future Educators Club members.

9/26/22: Congratulations to Avery Fulford and Uzzy Martinez for being selected for students of the month.

9/22/22: Coach Moore’s Geometry class discuss the Triangle Inequality Theorem: two sides of a triangle must have a sum more than the third side. As a proof, students cut pieces of straws and, with a piece of yarn, tied together three of their pieces. Seeing whether or not they got a triangle after tying together their string and measuring their pieces was all in the proof.

9/19/22: Scholar's Bowl tryouts will take place Thurs., Sept. 22 and Fri., Sept. 23 at 7:30 in Mrs. Hutcheson's room. You only have to attend one day of tryouts. Contact Mr. James or Mrs. Hutcheson for more information.

Archery Try-Outs will be on Sept. 26th and 27th, 4:00pm - 5:30pm at D.T. Cox. Make-up day will be Sept. 29th at 4:00pm - 5:30pm. Contact Coach Walker for more information.

9/19/22: During her visit to PHS, Pontotoc County Circuit Clerk Melinda Nowicki provided seniors with the opportunity to fill out voter registration forms. Eligible students will be able to cast their first votes November 8. We appreciate her stopping by and making this an easy process for our students.
