PHS students have two opportunities left to attend ACT review sessions in Reading/Vocabulary and English/Grammar during the month of February.
Students will have access to guided instruction, independent practices, and resources to take home. 8:30-11:30 in the PHS Commons. Call the PHS office to sign up.

Sat., Feb. 26 - English & Grammar

The February 16th guest speakers for Workforce Wednesday, in College and Career Readiness classes, were Mr. Matt Ruth, VP of Operations and Mr. Johnny Anderson, Director of Human Resources for Albany Industries. These speakers provided students a wealth of information concerning the soft skills needed to be successful on any job.

Please be reminded that there is a limited amount of career camp funding available through CREATE's Toyota Wellspring Education Fund for interested students in the fields of Engineering, Pharmacy, Robotics, Art and Design, Construction, Veterinary Medicine, Accounting and Architecture. Please visit the camp's scholarship page or make direct contact with the camp if you are interested in applying for scholarship funding for the camp.

Workforce Wednesday speakers in Mr. Dixon's and Mr. Tipler's College and Career Readiness classes were Katelynn Stidham, Itawamba Community College Recruiter, and Maclaine Griffith and Anna Claire Warren, PHS graduates and current ICC Indian Delegation Members.

This week's Workforce Wednesday speakers were no strangers to PHS. Corey Mize, Director of Recruitment for Base Camp Coding Academy, and 2021 PHS graduates and current Base Camp students, Jacen Barefoot and Dylan Shipton served as speakers. The group spoke about the admissions process for Base Camp Coding Academy, which is located in Water Valley, and teaches students to be software developers in 12 months.
