10/3/24: The early-bird price for the 2025 Warrior Yearbook is $55 until the end of October. Be sure to buy your yearbook before this deal expires!

9/26/24: Yesterday, Coach Gentry's world history classes came to the library to collaboratively explore and analyze the complex causes of WWI, focusing on militarism, alliances, imperialism, and nationalism, and how those factors contributed to the outbreak of war. Each group created a poster highlighting these causes to present to their class.

9/25/24: Today in Creative Writing Mrs. Bramlett's students went outside to brainstorm in nature. This experience allowed students to come up with more vivid details when writing poetry and short stories about nature.

9/25/24: PHS Juniors and Seniors attended the Pontotoc College and Career Fair on Monday, September 23rd. This event was sponsored by the Pontotoc Ridge Career and Technology Center and was held at the Gateway Pavilion. Over 45 organizations were on hand to provide students from PHS, NPHS and SPHS with information concerning college programs, career fields, and job opportunities. We thank all the organizations and their representatives for taking time out of their busy schedules to come and share vital information with our students.

9/20/24: Chloe Shaw presented her poem, “Fire,” at the MS Book Festival this past weekend at the MS State Capitol building. The MS Poetry Project invited all statewide winners to read their poems at this prestigious event attended by award-winning authors, who received copies of the students' poem anthology!

9/20/24: At the Toyota "Driving Possibilities" event on Wednesday, PHS students Jose Solis and Cheyenne Elgin, along with career coaches Mrs. Dale and Mr. Westbrook, shared ways the high school connects students with STEM opportunities through the internship program and summer camp opportunities. Other high school and district faculty, staff, and students attended to share and celebrate this incredible partnership!

9/19/24: Next week! Juniors and seniors will go to the College & Career Fair on September 23rd at the Pontotoc Gateway Pavilion. They will meet representatives from colleges, the military, and local industries, as well as learn about programs and scholarships.

9/19/24: Coach Turner's safety ed. class learned about the career path to become a fireman. They learned how to use the equipment and gear. They discussed fire safety at home and common hazards for drivers that cause accidents. Thank you to the firemen who collaborated on this lesson to make it a memorable experience for students.
