11/8/24: Senior football players, cheerleaders, and band members were celebrated Thursday at the glow-in-the-dark pep rally. The student body had lots of laughs watching their grade representatives compete in musical chairs and enjoyed watching the slideshow honoring those seniors. Big congratulations to the football team for winning their game against Clarksdale! Next stop is Cleveland Central as the PHS Warriors advance to the playoffs!

11/5/24: Coach Gory's biology class learned more about speciation, how a new kind of plant or animal species is created, with a hands-on activity using the Skittles colors to represent a different species of beetles. The "beetles" live together on a small island and become separated by geographical barriers. Students observe and record how each color is impacted by environmental pressures.

11/1/24: Senior ads are a great way for family members or friends to give their graduate a special shoutout in the yearbook. Ads are available for purchase from now until February 7. Students should receive a form from one of their teachers within the next week. Extra copies will be available on the office ledge and from Mrs. Gersh. Limited space is available in the yearbook, so they will be first come, first serve. Turn in ads to Mrs. Gersh or purchase a senior ad online (and design it yourself if you wish) at yearbookforever.com

10/30/24: The Balfour representative will be on campus Thursday, October 31 to take senior orders and letterman jacket orders.

10/28/24: Congratulations to these students who had perfect scores on MAAP tests!

10/28/24: Multiple scholarship opportunities through the CREATE Foundation are now open for applications. Students should check their email from Mrs. Dale for complete information. See attached list.

10/24/24: PHS Juniors will take the ACT at school on Tuesday, October 29. It is important they are here and on time! There many ways to prepare. Students should reference their email for test prep suggestions. The PHS library has a wide variety of test prep books available for check out as well.

10/23/24: Track tryouts will be held November 13 & 14, 3:15pm - 4:30pm at the PHS Track and Field. All athletes must possess a current physical before trying out. Only those who make the track team will have track during the 4th block.
