Warrior 5K

Join PHS for our Warrior 5k on Thursday, September 15, following the Homecoming parade and pep rally!  This is an opportunity for students and others to deck out in black and gold and make this a "fun run." Prizes will be awarded for best dressed. Sign up online today! Cost is $15 for students and $25 for adults, t-shirt included.

Fall 2022 Toyota Interns

9/12/22: Two of our Senior Warriors have completed the interview process and have been accepted into the Fall 2022 Toyota Creating Your Future Internship Program. Cayton Corley and Ellis Maffett will take part in a 15 week paid internship program with Toyota and ICC and will be working toward their Manufacturing Skills Basic Certification for five weeks, doing a two week Toyota Orientation, and then doing two week rotations in the stamping, body weld, paint, and assembly production departments of Toyota. Congratulations to these Warriors!

August Staff of the Month Awards

Congratulations to Mr. Sam James and Mrs. Rayanne Adams! In an effort to boost morale and reward the dedication and hard work the employees of PHS demonstrate on a daily basis, the administrative team will be recognizing two staff members each month for our "Employees of the Month" award.

NEMYF Board Members

PHS is proud to highlight our NEMYF Board Members, Anna Reid Crane and MacKenzie McGuirt.  They will be serving on the Northeast Mississippi Youth Foundation Board for 2022-2023.  The board typically consists of around 50 students from among the 17 counties that CREATE serves.

Workforce Wednesday

9/7/22: This week's Workforce Wednesday speaker was Mr. Mack Huey, Veteran's Service Officer for Pontotoc County and Criminal Justice instructor for Itawamba Community College and Blue Mountain College. Mr. Huey spoke to College and Career Readiness students about the branches of the military, Selective Service, ASVAB, ROTC, military benefits and life in the military.

Workforce Wednesday

9/1/22: The first Workforce Wednesday speaker of the school year in College and Career Readiness classes was Hannah Moroney, Recruiter for Itawamba Community College.  Mrs. Moroney spoke about admissions, housing, college life, ICC tours, and the Academic, CTE, Healthcare, Career Pathway and Online Programs at ICC.  Students were allowed a question and answer session and she also awarded some t-shirts as prizes.
