Creating a New Active Parent Account:
1. Create an Account with your own username and password.
2. Attach your student(s) under the settings icon.
3. Check your email for a message verifying that you are the legal guardian/parent. (Verification may take 24 hours.)
4. Choose Student Registration from the dropdown menu.
5. Select your student.
6. Scroll down and begin 2023-2024 Pontotoc City School District Online Registration.

A new Active Parent account should only be created if your student(s) were new to the district during the 2022-2023 school year.

5/18/23: PHS seniors walked the halls of their former campuses last Friday, waving at the younger students and hugging their former teachers. It takes a dedicated community of educators to prepare our graduates, and we all look forward to celebrating with them at Senior Awards Night this evening at 6:00pm and Graduation tomorrow at 8:00pm. Congratulations Class of 2023!

5/5/23: Toyota Mississippi held a graduation ceremony for their Spring 2023 Creating Your Future Internship graduates on May 4th at the Toyota Experience Center in Blue Springs.  Congratulations to PHS senior Conner Armstrong who was one of ten high school students completing the 15 week internship program.

5/2/23: Mrs. Kelly's Senior SREB Class is currently reading To Kill a Mockingbird. In the novel, there is a very famous court case that is based after the Scottsboro Boys case, and students have been tracing arguments for the case in the book. For each character who testifies, they have completed character profiles, and then they have started tracking the information that they learn from that character. After hearing all of the testimonies, they located inconsistencies between character's testimonies, and began mapping out their court case.

5/2/23: After a competitive application process, Mississippi Secretary of State Michael Watson is proud to announce the 2023-2024 class of Secretary of State (SOS) Student Ambassadors.  Congratulations to PHS Junior, Kye Webb, who was chosen to be one of those ambassadors. The Ambassador program equips high school seniors with the knowledge and resources to engage as leaders within their schools and communities. This year’s group of Ambassadors consists of 67 students from 46 schools in 35 counties across all four congressional districts.

5/1/23: Congratulations to the PHS Spain Foundation interns for completing their internships and presenting their final projects. The Spain Foundation Internship Showcase was held at the CREATE Foundation in Tupelo on Thursday. Interns and their host site supervisors were invited to attend. 5/1/23: Mrs. Kelly’s juniors completed some station work to learn about the Stanford Prison Experiment before beginning to read Monster by Walter Dean Myers. In the novel, the main character, Steve Harmon is placed in jail for a crime that he did not commit, and after the prosecutor of the case gives him the label of a "monster," Steve has to prove that he will not, and has not, become the label itself.

5/1/23: Six PHS students attended the MS Young Writers Poetry Festival last Friday at MSU. They created poems during the interactive poetry session and heard from the 2022 Southern Regional Youth Poet Laureate, Isabella Ramirez. One of the highlights of the day was hearing K-12th grade winners read their My Town poem. Each student received an anthology of poetry containing their poem and the other student poems from across the state.
