The second and third photo are from AP Biology's successful DNA Transformation where students altered the DNA of E.coli with genes from a jellyfish to make the bacteria grow under a blacklight. The large Petri dish is the before transformation and the smaller Petir dishes are the transformed colonies of bacteria.
The last photo is from a project Biology completed last week where students cut out and assembled chromosomes to create a human karyotype. Karyotypes can be used to determine various genetic conditions. Students received a random set of chromosomes and had to assemble the genes to determine the condition or lack of condition for their person.
